First State Winner in Diving from Spokane

Starting with us in 2021, Alma began diving during our summer programming at Liberty Pool in Spokane. Since then, Cheney High School added diving to their programs. In his focused style Alma worked his way through the school year to improve his diving list. Entering the state meet with the most difficult dive list, he kept a comfortable 20 point lead throughout the tournament. In the final round, Alma put in his final dive, a 5233D (Back 1.5 somersault with 1.5 twists), for a total of 40 points! Finishing the competition with a score of 338.05. If you see Alma at practice, congratulate him and ask how his experience was!
